Charlie Sheen broke a month-long silence (despite saying good-bye) with an announcement that didn’t involve cryptic references to tiger blood or Vatican assassins among others but to promote his dad’s appearance (Martin Sheen) on the new sitcom, Anger Management.
He tweeted, “”Watch my dad show up as my dad 9:30p on FX. Best yet!” and also loaded a picture of him laughing it up with his Dad on the set of the sitcom.
As tweeted by Charlie, who plays the therapist Charlie Goodson, Martin Sheen, will play his father in a guest appearance which will air in August during the 10-episode trial.
After a very public meltdown last year with Chuck Lorre who produced “Two and a Half Men”, it seems as if Lionsgate and executive producer, Bruce Helford, is allowing Charlie to get involved in the production process – unlike his former boss.
With the first season of the show averaging at least 3.5 million viewers per episode, it’s no surprise that FX has placed an order for another 90 episodes. The first 44 episodes will be shot beginning September 24th and after which, the remaining 46 will run the show until 2014.
As for his presence on Twitter, which introduced 8 million of his followers to catchphrases such as ‘winning’ and ‘tigerblood’, he wishes to maintain a presence on the social network so as to keep his fans informed of the important developments in his life.
So, it does not look like this will be the last time that his fans will hear from him ever since his last tweet on July 13, “Reach for the stars everyone. Dogspeed cadre. C out.”
