The X Factor is returning this fall with two new additions to its judge’s panel, pop icon Britney Spears and singer and actress Demi Lovato. L.A Reid and Simon Cowell will also be there to complete the panel, creating a dynamic crew that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages.
Spears is considered one of the biggest stars in the world, boasting an impressive musical career with nearly 100 million albums sold worldwide. She is also the recipient of many accolades and awards, including the 2011 MTV Video Vanguard Award and Billboard’s Best-Selling Female Artist of the Decade. Her first single, “Baby One more Time” was an international hit and has gone platinum 14 times in the U.S. She’s earned five first place debut albums and 24 Top 40 songs.
Lovato is also an accomplished singer; her second album, “Here we go again,” launched at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her latest single, “Skyscraper” just went platinum. In addition to her singing career, Lovato is also an accomplished actress. She started her acting career at the age of ten, and landed a role in the TV series, “Sonny with a chance.” She has also starred in film, including the movies “Princess Protection Program, and “Camp Rock.”
There is no doubt that both judges will be speaking to a younger audience. According to Simon Cowell, the new panel will be “dynamic and will work really well with the changes we are making to the show.”
