Fans loved Claire Temple, played by Rosario Dawson, in the first season of Dare Devil.
There was a certain chemistry that took place between her and Matt Murdock. In other words, his sense of justice along with her cynicism and wry wit.
Even though she wasn’t around in the second half, she will return in Season 2.
In speaking about her role as Temple with MTV, Dawson said, “Even just having Night Nurse and Claire Temple come together was already changing the Marvel Universe. So it just feels like, A) I finally get to join Marvel. I get to do it in a way that’s completely altering the universe, which is awesome. And then, B) I have no idea where it’s going to go, because here I was having a fling with Matt Murdock, and now ‘Luke Cage’ is coming up, and ‘Jessica Jones.”
Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are two new series that Marvel is coming up with. She hasn’t officially been cast as a member of either of these shows. Still, Marvel will consider her for “any of Marvel’s other Netflix original series”. Her character is linked to Luke Cage in the comics. This series will begin in 2016.
So, what’s next with the “Night Nurse” given that fans are fond of her character?
Will she become the Coulson of Marvel’s Netflix world? Will she be instrumental in bringing these street heroes together? To form the Defenders team? Most of all, will she have her own ‘Night Nurse’ show?
Critics and reviewers believe that she can stand on her own. Even better than Coulson did in the first Season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
