Stellan Skarsgård, the actor who played Dr. Erik Selvig, in the Avengers has confirmed that he will play a cameo in the sequel titled Avengers: Age of Ultron.
In an interview with Total Film, he said, “I’m going to be in Avengers: Age of Ultron, a small appearance. I don’t know what I’m allowed to say. But usually they call me in if they need something explained [to the audience]. There’s a lot of explanations to do when it comes to that universe.”
He also said that he enjoys working with Marvel because they know what they’re doing even if they’re owned by Disney and run by four or five people together.
Another reason that he gave for his preference for Marvel is because if there is a problem, all he has to do is make one phone call to Kevin Feige, the head of the studio. This is something that Skarsgård hasn’t been able to do with other studios such as Paramount, Warner Bros or even Disney for that matter.
As for the movie, all of the first movie’s cast members will reprise their roles while a few new additions will also be made as they battle against Ultron – an android who is one of their biggest enemies.
Also, it can be deducted, from previous flicks, that Tony will in charge of the pack of Avengers now that S.H.I.E.L.D has disbanded as depicted in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
With the filming of Avengers: Age of Ultron now complete, the movie is slated for release on May 1, 2015.
