Carol, played by Melissa McBride, in Season 4 of the Walking Dead will continue to change into a fighter as opposed to a timid victim that she was in earlier seasons.
In explaining her character, McBride, in an interview, says, “I think she’s holding up pretty well considering how compounded these events were. It’s interesting to see how they’re becoming someone new almost under the weight of this world. I don’t know how anyone could get through what she’s done and not be affected by it. Will she want to check out and go, ‘Oh this is too much for me,’ or will love conquer all and caring for her group and continuing in this world to fight?”
The conflict between Gareth and Grimes will also be a part of this season too where both these characters, being strong-willed, clearly want to survive the zombie apocalypse but have different ideas on how they should go about it.
Of course, before these two characters collide, the new season will have viewers taking a look at the complex character of Gareth too. Apart from this, viewers can also expect a totally new vibe in the next season considering how all the characters were separated in the previous one.
The producers have also said that the new season has also been shot in a lot of places most notably in the city as well.
McBride reveals that there’s so much fresh energy infused into the new season even if they are returning to places that they’ve run away from.
Season 5 of the Walking Dead begin on October 12, 2014 on AMC at 9 pm.
